Audrey Assad- The House You’re Building

January 23, 2011

This song has been on repeat for days in snowy Waterloo. It is beautiful and is all about asking God to see me and choose to take me in my incompleteness and brokenness, and use me. Like she says- it is about God using us in the house he’s building because he has put a place there that we can fit into, just the way we are.

Full song is here.

(edit: if you’re into tumblr, she has a link to hers here where she posts some incredible lyrics and poetry that she’s working on)

(edit again: She’s the one who sang “Winter Snow” on Chris Tomlin’s Christmas album)
