Heartline in Haiti
As much fun as I’m having with the top 10 social justice book list, it has started to tire me out. So I’ll take a little break from those and tell you about something else that I really like. I’ve been following two blogs written by people working with Heartline Ministries in Haiti for a while now:
Their blogs have been full of good stuff (Hendricks especially) about the way they’re living down there and the things God is doing through their work. They’re running a home for at-risk mothers outside of PAP, most of whom are quite young and financially unable to care for themselves and their new babies. The stories that they tell are honest and full of questions about where God is in a country that is so damaged. They’re also full of hope and expectancy for Haiti, which is a pretty beautiful attitude to have in a country that seems hopeless sometimes.
