Project 9: Cone Christmas Trees

These were an addition to my Christmas display at work- we’ve got some pretty festive offices and I’ve been inspired by some of the things that have been on Pinterest lately. A craft that keeps popping up on peoples’ DIY boards is sets of cone-trees on spools or candlesticks.

I made mine with cardboard cones, hot glued together and covered in a green tea towel, cut up. The bottoms are spools from jewelry chain and they were covered with twine and hot glued all in place (My glue gun has been very good to me this year, and will definitely be receiving a gift under the tree…just kidding…well, new glue sticks at least…) and I decorated each tree with some leftover craft supplies that we’ve had since I was in grade school.
